Scooter Rental Agreement

Version 2026-05-05 · Last reviewed 2026-05-05

This agreement extends the general Rental Agreement with terms specific to scooter and electric-scooter rentals.

1. Helmet use

Helmets are provided with every scooter rental and must be worn by the rider and any passenger at all times the vehicle is in motion. The Renter is responsible for any fines arising from non-use.

2. Engine size and licensing

For scooters with engine displacement above 150cc, a motorcycle endorsement is required by Mexican law. The Renter warrants their license is valid for the class of scooter rented.

3. Passenger limit

A scooter is rented as a one- or two-rider vehicle as identified on the product page. Carrying more passengers than the seat configuration permits is grounds for immediate termination of the rental and forfeiture of the deposit.

4. Off-road use prohibited

Scooter rentals are limited to paved roads and public ways. Riding on beach sand, jungle trails, or other off-road surfaces voids the included damage protection and may result in full liability for any resulting damage.

5. Range and battery (electric scooters only)

Electric scooter range is published on each product page and varies with rider weight, terrain, and weather. Running the battery to zero may damage the unit and is the Renter's responsibility.

6. Damage waiver scope

The included damage waiver covers cosmetic damage and minor mechanical damage arising from ordinary use. Theft, intentional damage, and damage from unauthorized use are not covered. Waiver terms are summarized at booking.
